I’ve spent a large part of my life looking at search results, websites and Search Console graphs, but I promise I do occasionally close the laptop.
A quiet godfather of Australian SEO
I started working professionally in SEO in Australia in 2011. There were no AI Overviews, no ChatGPT, no Core Web Vitals and barely any structured data. SEO looked very different. I’ve been doing it ever since.
Over 15 years, I’ve worked with hundreds of Australian businesses, from local companies and ecommerce stores to some of the country’s largest organisations, while also working across major international websites and some of the most competitive search markets in the world.
I’ve never built my career around being an SEO personality. I’ve regularly attended industry events around the world and have been invited to speak at several of them, but I’m extremely camera shy. I’d much rather be inside Search Console, reviewing technical issues, working through a migration plan or solving a difficult SEO problem than standing on a stage.
